Stopped by for a quick work lunch. The food was pretty good and not too pricey.
Our very 1st time visiting this restaurant & we were pleasantly surprised. We were a bit skeptical coming into a smokehouse & not smelling the overwhelming BBQ smell. We were greeted by Zo, the manager, & he was fantastic! He assured us that the food is good & shared how he's been w/the company for well over 20 years. We were seated & attended to by Zeke who's been there over 9 years. He was AMAZING to say the least! While waiting, Zo bought over some samples of some of the sides and everything was, surprisingly, super tasty. The pulled pork, lima beans, baked beans- everything was good! We'll definitely be back! Thanks Zo & Zeke; you guys are GREAT!
This place has been consistent since they opened in 1998. The ribs are my absolute, hands-down favorite. My favorite sides are the Limas and the sweet potato. We had the most amazing server last time. He was super personable, and you could tell he really enjoyed his job...and I totally forgot his name
The full-rack rib weekday special is a great bargain. Can't comment on the atmosphere since we ordered to go. The wait time was minimal, and orders were done correctly. The ribs were succulent, and the meat was the fall of the bone tender. Sides well prepared, tasty, with adequate portions. Oakwood is always a favorite, and we're never disappointed with the food or service.
food is fantastic, Hot food is hot and cold. Food is cold. Service he's always prompt. We've never had a less than great experience here. The whole staff is brilliant, we especially enjoy Kimand Diane..... Great service ALWAYS. thank you Oakwood for maintaining an excellence over all these years. Bravo....
We go regularly. Love this place. I always order the Feta Chicken salad, and she grabs the Baby Backs. She wanted to try the salad I usually get last time in. They'd changed it. Used to get a full chicken breast laid out across it. Cut it up yourself. This time, it came pre-diced and mixed in. Just didn't seem like there was a much. Guess everyone is cutting back opposed to jacking up the prices. Would've been happy to pay a bit more to have it the old way. Was just a better salad then. But, still love the place, and the staff.
This was a to go order, the person assisting us was not very friendly, kinda gruff. We shrugged it off as she was having a bad day but it did make us feel somewhat uncomfortable as we didn't do anything. Overall, the place was quiet, and clean, the food was good as the last time (that's why we came back). Hopefully that person's day got better as it went on.
The food is amazing! But what is more amazing was our server. Juan was incredible, he made us feel super comfortable and exceeded our expectations. definitely requesting him next time we dine in again.
